Capture-fm mobile - New version Featured

Sep 13 2016

As the old quote goes - "A picture paints a thousand words" and now you can include pictures as part of your asset survey with the latest version of Capture-fm® mobile.

Being able to visually identify an asset, demonstrate its condition or show all of the component parts that make up an asset (such as tools in a tool kit) is now even easier with the latest version of Capture-fm mobile. Compatible with any Windows Mobile PDA with a laser barcode scanner and camera, image collection and import is now integrated into the survey process and can be imported directly into your database without any additional work. Unlike other software packages on the market, all image collection is done directly on the PDA and images are automatically attached to each asset as you take them reducing the amount of "post survey" work needed. The collection of image data can be used for many purposes such as:

  • Proof of asset for insurance purposes
  • Identification assistance in the case of theft
  • Improved condition recording (no need to explain in detail how big a scratch is, just take a picture!)
  • Record and illustrate component parts of an asset (such as tool in a toolkit)
