  • How much does Capture-fm® cost?

    The cost of Capture-fm® depends on the required software, what features you require and how many users you have. You can find out more on the 'Versions' page of the Capture-fm® software.

    There is a free version available - ideal for small organisations or those who wish to 'try before you buy'.

  • Is Capture-fm® Cloud based?

    The short answer is no, but it can be.

    Capture-fm® is a Windows application.  It was developed in this way in order to provide our users with the best performance and user experience possible.

    Whilst "cloud apps" are a big buzz at the moment, they do have several drawbacks:

    • No internet means no application access
    • Security is entirely in someone else's hands
    • Data ownership becomes a grey area
    • Browser based applications are often slower and provide a much lower overall experience
    • No control over upgrades

    We believe that by providing our software as a Windows application, makes it easier for our users to be in control of their own data and provides a much better overall experience.

    By utilising other technologies such as Microsoft Terminal Server, it is possible to provide access to the application without it being installed on the users PC and can even be presented over the web through a web browser.  This approach gives you the best of both worlds.

  • What specification of PC do I need to run any Capture-fm® product

    All Capture-fm® software will run on just about any PC running Microsoft Windows.  It is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10 in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

    As with most applications, Capture-fm® does benefit from greater processors and memory but this is by no means a requirement.  Essentially if your PC falls within the Microsoft guidelines for the Operating system, all Capture-fm® software will work just fine.

    Capture-fm® can also be used on other systems through the use of alternative technologies such as Terminal Server / Remote Desktop.

  • Can I get support?

    We offer a maintenance and support package for all versions of Capture-fm® (even the free one!).  The packages are provided on an annual basis and the cost depends on the version you choose.

    Each maintenance and support package includes:

    • Full telephone support
    • Full e-mail support
    • Remote access capabilities to provide direct assistance
    • Free upgrades as they become available (Subscription versions automatically include this)

    We also offer an on site installation and training service at very competitive rates.

  • Can I upgrade Asset-fm® to Capture-fm®

    All Asset-fm® users can upgrade to Capture-fm® and the process is relatively simple.

    If you have a current maintenance contract in place then you can upgrade to Capture-fm® for free.
